Investigation service in Vietnam, Thai Nguyen provincial police have just prosecuted Cao Trung Hieu for theft.
According to the investigation agency, at around 7:00 a.m. on October 9, 2024, Hieu took a car from his home to the Nui Coc Lake area, looking for a house that was not open to break in and steal property.
Arriving at Tan Thai commune, Hieu discovered that Mrs. P’s house was deserted and the main gate was locked. Hieu climbed over the wall into the house and discovered a safe.
The subject successfully used a knife to break the safe, taking many bundles of 500,000 VND bills and many pieces of jewelry such as rings and gold necklaces, totaling about 7 taels.
Hieu hitched a ride on a man’s motorbike to the intersection, then took a bus to Gia Sang intersection, Thai Nguyen city, Vietnam detective.
He used the stolen money to buy many personal items; bought an iPhone 15 Promax phone; bought a Hyundai Santafe car.
The young man drove back to Thai Nguyen to take his girlfriend in Dai Tu district out.
Hieu gave his girlfriend 1.4 million VND and made some transactions with the stolen money.
The subject drove home to check for military service and was summoned by the police.
Hieu confessed the whole incident to the police and voluntarily handed over all related assets and objects.
Hieu deposited 50 million VND from the stolen money into an account for gambling. The investigation agency is clarifying to prosecute the subject for this behavior.
