Police attacked at Covid 19 checkpoint

According to information from the authorities in Kon Tum, Vietnam – The incident happened on the afternoon of June 15, 2021, a young man named Hau, from Tay Ninh province, Vietnam rode a motorbike on Ho Chi Minh Street, heading towards from Phuoc Son district (Quang Nam) to Dak Glei district (Kon Tum).

At the quarantine point on Lo Xo pass, Dak Glei district, this person was asked by the authorities to enter a medical examination to prevent the Covid19 epidemic. However, Hau did not obey the orders of the authorities, he drove the car and ran away.

At this moment, Captain Le Trung and Lieutenant Bui Quang Nghia, Traffic Police Department (Police of Kon Tum Province, Vietnam) chased about 4 km, asked Hau to go to the side of the road and return to the quarantine point.

Disobeying orders, Hau was said to have raised his voice and suddenly hit Lieutenant Nghia with a nosebleed and kicked Captain Trung in the ribs. He was then restrained and assigned to Dak Glei District Police to investigate acts against law enforcement officers.
