Police in Ho Chi Minh city have arrested a man who snatched a gold necklace from a young girl playing outside her home, following a quick investigation aided by security camera footage.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of June 29 in Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.
A 6-year-old girl was playing in front of her house when a man on a motorbike approached, grabbed her necklace, and fled.
Vietnam detective, the scared child ran inside, and her family reported the incident.
After receiving the report, local police and Binh Tan district’s criminal unit reviewed surveillance footage and began a search.
Within two days, the suspect—Le Van H., 34, from district 6—was arrested.
He later confessed and said he sold the necklace for personal expenses.
The case is under further investigation.
