Fined for posting false news about the accident

A 38-year-old man in Hanoi was fined 7.5 million VND for posting a distorted message saying the woman driving the car caused an accident on Tran Cung street, Hanoi.

This man was administratively punished by the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Hanoi Police.

This person was fined for “providing and sharing information that is fake, untrue, distorted, slanderous, insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals”.

On March 5, he posted on Facebook about a traffic accident on Tran Cung Street.

He provided information about the female driver who caused the accident, who was a descendant of the minister.

He admitted to the authorities that he had posted false information about the female driver.

The female driver had an alcohol concentration in her breath and is currently being asked to pay a fine of 35-40 million VND and have her driving license revoked for 22-24 months.
