Dao Van Dung drove a car and pushed Lieutenant Nguyen Hoang Nhan 150 meters away, injuring him.
Dung, 33 years old, was prosecuted by the Police of Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An for resisting persons performing official duties, according to Article 330 of the Penal Code.
According to the investigation, around 10:45 a.m. on February 20, the working group of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a tractor-trailer driven by Dung and requested to stop inspection.
Dung was accused of not obeying orders, deliberately slowing the car down and then hitting Lieutenant Nguyen Hoang Nhan, pushing him about 150 meters, injuring him.
Dung then stopped his car in the middle of the road and barricaded himself inside, causing traffic jams for more than 15 minutes.
Only after being persuaded by the authorities did Dung open the car door.
