Thanh Hoa Provincial Court opened a first instance trial, sentencing defendant Nguyen Thi Hue to 12 years in prison.
This person was sentenced for abuse of trust and appropriation of property.
From 2018 to 2020, Hue twice wrote loan papers of 400 million VND from Ms. Ho Thi Hong and 350 million VND from Ms. Luong Thi Ty.
Hue did not return the money to Ms. Hong and Ms. Ty, but fled from her residence to appropriate all the money.
During the investigation period, Hue filed an application to remedy the consequences and forced his family to hand over a sum of 300 million VND.
For the remaining 450 million VND, Hue must continue to compensate the victims.
Nguyen Thi Hue admitted all her crimes.
