On the afternoon of April 27, 2025, Nguyen Van Pho and Le Hoai Thai Nguyen were arrested by Binh Thuan provincial police for robbery.

The mother and son were threatened with machetes by Pho and Nguyen, robbed of 290,000 VND, a cell phone, and a motorbike.

After 10 hours of investigation, the criminal police of Binh Thuan province quickly coordinated with local police to arrest Pho and Nguyen.
The police recovered all the property and the two machetes they used to commit the crime.
